Invisalign Vs Bitesoft

Invisalign and Bitesoft are two clear aligner systems used for orthodontic treatment. Both use removable aligners to move teeth, but they differ in treatment approach, clinical supervision, cost, and support. This page compares the two systems to help you understand the differences before discussing options with your dentist.

All costs on this page are indicative. Full costs will be discussed with your dentist prior to treatment and may vary based on your individual case.

Invisalign Vs Bitesoft: Treatment Approach

The treatment process with Invisalign includes regular in-person appointments with dental professionals. Bitesoft offers a more remote model — after an initial impression or consultation, treatment is primarily monitored via AI technology rather than in-person dental appointments.

Invisalign Treatment Approach

Step 1 — Consultation: Your dentist assesses whether you are a candidate for Invisalign. A 3D digital model of your teeth is created so you can view the proposed tooth movement before committing.

Step 2 — Treatment begins: Custom aligners are fitted at a second appointment. You change aligners every two weeks. Check-ups occur every six weeks so your dentist can monitor progress, make adjustments, and carry out any routine dental work.

Step 3 — Treatment completion: Once tooth movement is complete, you transition to night-time retainers. Retainer wear is essential — without it, teeth may shift back toward their original position.

Bitesoft Treatment Approach

Step 1 — Complete a free online smile assessment (optional).

Step 2 — Use an at-home impression kit to create moulds of your teeth, or visit a partner clinic for scans, X-rays, and an assessment.

Step 3 — Receive your treatment plan, including a 3D plan, before deciding to proceed. Aligners are shipped within four weeks.

Step 4 — Aligners, teeth whitening, carry case, maintenance kit, and ScanBox arrive.

Step 5 — Start using aligners and check in remotely using AI monitoring technology.

Step 6 — Once completed, purchase post-treatment retainers separately to maintain tooth position.

Invisalign Vs Bitesoft: Treatment Duration

Invisalign: Typically 3 to 18 months depending on case complexity. Your dentist will provide an estimated timeframe at your consultation. The treatment plan must be followed consistently for these timeframes to be accurate.

Bitesoft: Most cases take 3 to 9 months. More complex cases under Bitesoft Pro may take around 15 months. Treatment duration depends on the issues being addressed.

Invisalign Vs Bitesoft: Technological Features

Invisalign: SmartTrack Material (applies gentle, constant force), SmartStage Technology (programmes sequential tooth movements), and SmartForce Attachments (bite ramps, precision cuts, and power ridges to assist tooth movement).

Bitesoft: AI remote monitoring (ScanBox technology for remote progress checks), Zendura Flx material (designed for comfort), and a sustainability program where used aligners can be returned for recycling.

Invisalign Vs Bitesoft: Cost

All costs are indicative. Full costs will be discussed prior to treatment.

Invisalign cost: Depends on the treatment plan. Typical pricing at Gorgeous Smiles:

Invisalign i7: $3,500 to $5,500 Invisalign Lite: $5,000 to $7,000 Invisalign Full: $7,000 to $9,000

The Invisalign price includes regular dental appointments and retainers. Payment plans are available through AfterPay, Humm, and Zip.

Bitesoft cost: Starts at $39 for the home impression kit. One-time payment of $2,999 (at-home) or $3,399 (Bitesoft Pro with dentist). Instalment plans available over 24 months (total cost may be higher). Post-treatment retainers are sold separately at $99 per set.

Invisalign Vs Bitesoft: Clinical Support

Invisalign: Includes regular in-person appointments every six weeks. Your dentist monitors progress, makes adjustments, and carries out routine dental work including cleaning and decay checks.

Bitesoft: Customer support is available via email, phone, or website. Bitesoft Pro users have access to their dentist. At-home users rely on customer support and AI monitoring for progress checks. There are no regular in-person dental appointments unless you opt for the Pro option.

Invisalign Vs Bitesoft: Aftercare

Invisalign aftercare: Wear your retainer every night — without retainer wear, teeth may shift back. Attend regular dental check-ups. Clean aligners regularly with lukewarm water and a soft-bristled brush. Brush and floss regularly. Be aware that staining foods and drinks may affect tooth colour.

Bitesoft aftercare: Post-treatment retainers must be purchased separately and worn every night. Clean aligners regularly. Brush and floss to maintain oral hygiene. Attend regular dental check-ups. Remove aligners when eating and drinking.

Risks of Clear Aligner Treatment

All orthodontic treatments carry risks. Risks of clear aligner treatment (both Invisalign and Bitesoft) include discomfort and pressure when new aligners are placed, particularly in the first few days of each new tray; tooth root resorption (shortening of the tooth roots); enamel wear at attachment sites; gum irritation from aligner edges; temporary speech changes; the possibility that treatment may take longer than estimated or may not fully achieve the planned outcome; and relapse (teeth shifting back) if retainers are not worn as directed.

With remote-monitored treatments such as Bitesoft's at-home option, there is an additional consideration that issues may not be identified as quickly as they would be with regular in-person dental supervision.

Your dentist will discuss all risks specific to your case before treatment begins.

Book a Consultation

If you're considering clear aligner treatment, a consultation is the appropriate starting point. Your dentist will assess your teeth, discuss which treatment option is clinically appropriate, provide a treatment plan with costs, and discuss all risks involved. There is no obligation.
