Invisalign Vs Ez Smile

Do you want straight teeth without using traditional braces? Finding the perfect orthodontic treatment for you can be tricky, but it doesn't need to be! There are countless clear aligner treatments on the market for you to choose from, including Invisalign and Ez Smile.

Which is right for you? That's what we are here to tell you! Today, our article looks at the key differences between Invisalign and Ez Smile treatments, the cost, the aftercare process, and more to help you find the teeth straightening treatment.

What We Are Going To Cover:

Invisalign Vs Ez Smile: Treatment Approach

Invisalign and Ez Smile offer similar treatment approaches. Ez Smile does offer an in-person consultation, or you can do the entire treatment from home! There is no option for in-person check-ups during your treatment plan unless arranged directly with your dentist.

Invisalign Treatment Approach

The Invisalign treatment process involves three steps:

Step 1 - Consultation

An initial consultation is offered with us, where we assess if you are a candidate for Invisalign. We then discuss your desired results and create a 3D model of your smile. We use Invisalign SmileView to show you your future smile and make any adjustments. Once you are happy, we create custom Invisalign aligners to create your perfect smile.

Step 2 - Start Treatment

You will be invited for a second appointment when your clear aligners arrive. One of our CBD dentists will fit the aligners, check they are correct, and show you how to use them. They will run through the treatment process with you so you know what to expect. The process varies depending on how much teeth straightening is required, but you will generally change your aligners every two weeks. During your Invisalign treatment, you will be seen every six weeks by dental professionals. We will check your aligners, adjust the plan if needed, and do any required dental work.

Step 3 - Enjoy Your Smile

Once your treatment plan ends, you will use night-time retainers to maintain your smile. You can now enjoy your new smile!

Ez Smile Treatment Approach

The Ez Smile treatment is broken into the following steps:
  • Step 1 - Choose from a 3D scan at your nearest centre or use the at-home impression kit to take moulds of your teeth
  • Step 2 - You receive a personalised 3D teeth straightening plan to see how your teeth will look
  • Step 3 - If you are happy with the plan, your aligners will be sent to you
  • Step 4 - Use your aligners until the treatment is complete. Afterwards, you will need to wear a retainer at night to maintain your new smile

Invisalign Vs Ez Smile: Treatment Duration

Ez Smile offers quicker results than Invisalign, but they don't advertise services for crowded teeth or bite issues as Invisalign does. Invisalign will also straighten your teeth in this shorter time frame if minimal work is required.

Invisalign Treatment Duration

How long your Invisalign treatment lasts depends on your desired smile and the work required. Minor straightening can take three months, while more complex cases with crowding or bite issues can take up to eighteen months. During your consultation, you will be provided with an estimated time frame to see how long you will be using the clear aligners. You must follow the treatment plan carefully for this time frame to be accurate, though.

Ez Smile Treatment Duration

How long Ez Smile takes will depend on your case and circumstances. Generally, it will take four to eight months to straighten your teeth, but this depends on how much straightening is required. For these speedy results, you must wear your aligners for twenty hours a day.

Invisalign Vs Ez Smile: Technological Features

Invisalign has more information readily available on their website to show you the technology they use. While Ez Smile is made with 3D printers, there are no attachment options, meaning bite issues and other complex cases cannot be solved by Ez Smile.

Invisalign Technological Features

Invisalign uses three key technological features to help you achieve your new smile. We have outlined them below for you:
  • SmartTrack Material - Uses gentle and constant force to move your teeth. The material helps to speed up treatment time, allowing you to see results quickly
  • SmartStage Technology - Programmes individual tooth movement simultaneously, helping us to predict your results and you to see them quickly
  • SmartForce Attachments - Helps your aligner deliver the results you want. Bite ramps, precision cuts, and a power ride are some of the attachments and features we can use to help you achieve your perfect smile

Ez Smile Technological Features

Ez Smile uses 3D printing capabilities in their lab to help straighten your teeth. This is done by their team, which creates a personalised teeth straightening plan using clear aligners, which move your teeth into their final position. Ez Smile also uses aligners that are cut to match your gum line. While this can make them a little more comfortable, it does make them less powerful than other aligner treatments on the market. While Ez Smile is an Australian brand, its manufacturing is in China, where its 3D printing is used to create clear aligners.

Invisalign Vs Ez Smile: Cost

Ez Smile costs less than Invisalign and offers varied payment plans for you to choose from. However, they specialise in minor alignments and adjustments rather than the variety of moderate teeth misalignments or severe teeth misalignment cases that Invisalign can solve.

Invisalign Cost

Invisalign treatment cost varies depending on your chosen plan and the work required to achieve the smile. On average, Invisalign treatment costs between $6,000 and $9,000, but more affordable plans are available. We have some price guidelines below to give you a better idea of the cost:
  • Invisalign Full: $7,000 - $9,000
  • Invisalign Lite: $5,000 - $7,000
  • Invisalign i7: $3,500 - $5,500
At Gorgeous Smiles, we offer several payment plans that allow you to spread the cost of Invisalign. The smile of your dreams should be accessible, so why not book one of our consultations for a price and see how you could spread that cost?

Ez Smile Cost

Ez Smile offers four ways for you to pay:
  • One time payment - $2499
  • Humm -$2499 (excluding fees) over 12 or 24 months
  • Zip - $2499 (excluding fees) over 12 months
  • EZ Instalments - $2839 over fifty-two weeks
When choosing any of these payment options, check the fees; some will charge an additional $9.95 monthly. You must also make the payments on time to avoid any charges or interest. None of these payments are taken until you approve your aligner treatment plan.

Invisalign Vs Ez Smile: Customer Experience

Invisalign customers had a better experience with their clear aligner treatment than Ez Smile customers. While there were some happy customers with Ez Smile, the uncomfortable and painful aligners made it tricky for customers to wear them, reducing the effectiveness of the treatment. They also noted the poor quality of the aligners made it tricky to use them for the specified time, taking longer to straighten teeth.

Invisalign Customer Experience

Overall, customers are pleased with their Invisalign experience. They enjoy everything from the consultation process to the final results. The initial consultation is popular with customers, offering them plenty of information and the opportunity to discuss their new smile in person. While the aligners can be uncomfortable, very few customers reported pain, allowing them to use them easily. They found the treatment plan easy to incorporate into their lifestyle top, making customers less likely to skip days, keeping their treatment on plan. A few customers found the process took longer than initially anticipated, but dental professionals supported them through the process. They were pleased with the results, with many submitting before and after pictures to our website for you to see.

Ez Smile Customer Experience

Customer experience is mixed with Ez Smile. Some found the process very quick, allowing them to achieve their new smile in no time. Others praised the easy-to-use impression kit, allowing them to easily create their mouldings at home. However, some customers had issues with the quality of the aligners, with many of them cracking and not lasting the two weeks you needed to use them. The customer also reported that they did not see results as quickly as anticipated and that the aligners were painful to wear.

Invisalign Vs Ez Smile: Customer Support

Invisalign offers easier-to-access customer support, as your dental practice is your first port of call. Dental professionals will provide you with answers to queries, and regular appointments make it easy to track your progress. Customers of Ez Smile reported issues contacting customer support once their order was placed.

Invisalign Customer Support

You get an abundance of in-person support when you embark on your Invisalign journey. Our dental professionals will guide you through your treatment plan, answer any queries you have, and make adjustments when needed. Everything is done in-person, allowing us to check your progress and spot any causes for concern accurately. You will have appointments every six weeks throughout the treatment, where your progress is monitored, and any dental care is carried out. We remove any plaque build-up and check for signs of tooth decay to keep your new smile healthy.

Ez Smile Customer Support

Customers praised the initial customer service, which provided support to help with your mouldings and access your 3D kit. However, some found issues contacting customer support after purchasing their aligners, with some waiting weeks for a response. You can contact Ez Smile through their head office address, phone, or email to access any support you need.

Invisalign Vs Ez Smile: Aftercare

Both aligner treatments require you to wear night-time retainers following your treatment. Invisalign provides more aftercare information, ensuring you keep your smile healthy.

Invisalign Aftercare

Your aftercare is an essential part of Invisalign, with your results being undone if the process is not correctly followed. We guide you through the aftercare process, but the key elements are below for you:
  • You must wear your retainer at night to maintain your results
  • You must attend regular dental check-ups and cleanings to maintain your oral health
  • You should avoid staining foods and drinks like berries, coffee, and wine as these can discolour your teeth
  • You must clean your aligners regularly to prevent bacteria and plaque from building up. Lukewarm water and a soft-bristled brush is the best method
  • You must rinse your aligners after use in lukewarm water
  • You must floss and brush regularly to ensure good oral hygiene

Ez Smile Aftercare

Aftercare is an essential part of Ez Smile treatment, too. You will wear a retainer full-time and every night for the first two weeks after treatment. A pair of retainers is included in your final package, but these should be replaced every six to twelve months. You must pay for these, so consider this cost in your budget.
