Invisalign Vs Clear Correct

Are you torn between Invisalign and Clear Correct aligners? Maybe you want to avoid traditional braces but don't know which clear aligner to use? That is where we come in to help!

Finding the perfect aligner to achieve your dream smile can be tricky, but with Gorgeous Smiles, you can make the right decision. Our detailed guide looks at the differences between Invisalign and Clear Correct to see which is better suited to you.

What We Are Going To Cover:

Invisalign Vs Clear Correct: Treatment Approach

Invisalign and Clear correct aligners follow a similar treatment approach. However, Invidlagin's 3D model provides a better visual before the treatment begins, and regular appointments are offered to monitor your progress.

Invisalign Treatment Approach

The Invisalign treatment process can be split into three steps.

Step 1: Consultation

You start with a consultation with dental professionals like us at Gorgeous Smiles. During the consultation, we determine whether you are a candidate for Invisalign and create a 3D model of your smile. We discuss your desires, any areas you want to address, and how you want your new smile to look. We use the Invisalign SmileView to show you your future smile and make any adjustments here before moving forward. Once you are happy, we create custom Invisalign aligners.

Step 2: You Begin Your Treatment

Once your clear aligners arrive, you will be invited for a second appointment. This appointment takes place with one of our CBD dentists, who will fit the aligner, ensure the fit is correct and show you how to use them correctly. You will be given a set of aligners and told when to change them to ensure smooth teeth straightening. We usually recommend changing the aligners every two weeks. During the process, a dentist will see you every six weeks. Your Invisalign progress is monitored, and any dental work, like cleaning, is done.

Step 3: Enjoy Your Smile

The course time varies, but those with minor adjustments will enjoy their new smile within three months! You will switch to nighttime retainers once the treatment process is complete, and enjoy your new smile!

Clear Correct Treatment Approach

Clear Correct work in a similar way. These clear aligners allow you to straighten your teeth without anyone knowing and can rectify crooked teeth, overbites, and misaligned teeth. This orthodontic treatment is provided by dentists across Australia, with them following the steps below:
  • Step 1 - A consultation with your dentist where they determine if you are a candidate and take impressions and x-rays of your teeth. These are used, along with your smile goals, to create custom clear aligner trays
  • Step 2 - When the aligners arrive, each tray must be worn for two weeks. The aligner tray will gently push certain teeth, moving them up to 0.3mm. After the movement is complete, you switch to your next aligner
  • Step 3 - Continue switching aligners until all of your teeth have moved into the desired position and you have your new smile

Invisalign Vs Clear Correct: Treatment Duration

Invisalign tends to be quicker than Clear Correct, with some customers seeing results in three months. However, Clear Correct does target more complex overbite cases than Invisalign, which would take time to rectify.

Invisalign Treatment Duration

How long the treatment takes depends on the results you want to achieve. Minor straightening can take three months, whereas spacing and more complex cases can take longer, sometimes up to eighteen months. An estimated time frame will be delivered during your consultation, depending on the smile you want. For the treatment time to be accurate, you must follow the treatment plan carefully.

Clear Correct Treatment Duration

On average, the Clear Correct braces take twelve to eighteen months to align with your new smile. This time frame depends on how many teeth need to be moved or straightened and if an overbite is being amended. While some customers might see results quicker, the majority will need at least a year to see results.

Invisalign Vs Clear Correct: Technological Features

Both use unique technology to deliver great results. The soft material makes both aligners comfortable to wear, although Clear Correct offers more customisation to treat a variety of concerns, like overbite. Invisalign focuses on other concerns, like crooked or misaligned teeth and overcrowding, with their technology focusing on precise movements.

Invisalign Technological Features

There are three key technology features Invisalign uses to help create your perfect smile:
  • SmartTrack Material - Offers gentle and constant forces that control the movement of your teeth. The material helps to speed up treatment, too, delivering results quickly
  • SmartStage Technology - Programmes each tooth movement simultaneously, helping dentists predict the results of your Invisalign and speed up the process
  • SmartForce Attachments - The features and attachments help the aligners provide the results you want. Precision cuts, a power ridge, and bite ramps help to address most situations, giving everyone their perfect smile

Clear Correct Technological Features

Clear Correct uses several technological features to deliver its results:
  • ClearQuartz Tri-Layer material - Provides a consistent and gentle application of force, reducing pain and keeping your treatment on track
  • Performance Trimline - Optimises force for accurate tooth movement and enhanced root control, helping you achieve the results you want promptly
  • Clear Control Clinical Features - Help dentists tailor the treatment to suit you with customisation options like cutouts, bars, guides, and pontics

Invisalign Vs Clear Correct: Cost

The cost varies for these aligners, with payment plans available to help you finance your new smile.

Invisalign Cost

The cost of Invisalign treatments depends on the treatment plan but varies between $6,000 and $9,000 on average. Some treatments are available for $3,500, but it depends solely on the desired outcomes and the treatment needed. We have some guidelines below for you to see what prices you can expect:
  • Invisalign Full: $7,000 - $9,000
  • Invisalign Lite: $5,000 - $7,000
  • Invisalign i7: $3,500 - $5,500
Here at Gorgeous Smiles, we offer several affordable payment plans, allowing you to spread the cost of your Invisalign and make beautiful smiles accessible for everyone. We offer special consultations where you can learn more about the cost of your treatment and how you can spread the payment.

Clear Correct Cost

The cost of Clear Correct aligners varies depending on the complexity of your case and how many aligners you need. The average cost is between $4,500 and $8,000. While we do not offer Clear Correct aligners, many dentists across Melbourne do, with payment plans provided, too, helping you to spread the cost of your treatment. Some healthcare providers will also cover the cost of Clear Correct; be sure to check with them before booking a consultation.

Invisalign Vs Clear Correct: Customer Experience

The vague website and high cost put some customers off using Clear Correct. Invisalign provides clear information upfront so that customers know the process before they agree to it. Our dentists at Gorgeous Smiles are also on hand to answer questions about the Invisalign process, helping customers be as informed as possible before using their aligners.

Invisalign Customer Experience

Overall, customers are pleased with their Invisalign experience. Customers enjoy the informative consultation process and how many opportunities they have to discuss what they want from the process. While they found the aligners a little uncomfortable, it was pain-free, allowing customers to pop the aligners in and go about their daily routines. Fitting the treatment plan around their lifestyles was easy, too, and the plan was easy to follow, keeping confusion and errors to a minimum. A few customers noted that the process was longer than they first thought, but they had the support of their dentist or orthodontist to guide them through it. They were pleased with their results, too! Check out our before and after pictures for some of our recent success stories.

Clear Correct Customer Experience

Customers were impressed with the flexible pricing options and how you could work with your dentist to use Clear Correct. Slight discomfort was reported, but not enough to stop them from wearing the aligners for twenty-two hours daily. However, there were some issues. Customers found the Clear Correct website very vague, making it tricky to know what to expect before speaking to their dentist. The high cost and lack of in-home treatment were also issues that some customers found with the service.

Invisalign Vs Clear Correct: Customer Support

Invisalign focuses more on regular, in-person support than Clear Correct. Of course, this varies depending on which dentist you choose for your clear aligners.

Invisalign Customer Support

You get plenty of in-person support with Invisalign. We are here to assist you throughout the process, answering your queries or adjusting the aligners when needed. As part of our Invisalign service, you will have checkups every six weeks. These are to check your successful treatment plans, adjust the retainers, or offer routine dental care. We check for tooth decay and provide cleanings to remove plaque build-up, helping you enjoy a clean and healthy smile.

Clear Correct Customer Support

Clear Correct offers email and phone customer support for queries or concerns. However, your first port of call should be to the dentist you used for Clear Correct. They will be able to check on your aligner, carry out any adjustments, and provide answers to your queries. As you work towards straighter teeth, you should regularly see your dentist to assess your progress. Unlike us at Gorgeous Smiles, not everyone offers regular checkups during the teeth straightening; check before you part with your money.

Invisalign Vs Clear Correct: Aftercare

The aftercare process is quite similar, involving good oral hygiene and regularly cleaning your aligners.

Invisalign Aftercare

Aftercare is an integral part of the Invisalign process. We have listed below the post-treatment care you must carry out:
  • You must wear your retainer at night to maintain your results
  • You must attend regular dental checkups and cleanings to maintain your oral health
  • You should avoid staining foods and drinks like berries, coffee, and wine as these can discolour your teeth
  • You cleaned your aligners regularly to prevent bacteria and plaque from building up. Lukewarm water and a soft-bristled brush is the best method
  • You must rinse your aligners after use in lukewarm water
  • You must floss and brush regularly to ensure good oral hygiene

Clear Correct Aftercare

Clear Correct aftercare is quite similar to Invisalign. As these clear aligners are not invisible braces, you must care for them regularly and continue using them to maintain your smile. The aftercare guidance is outlined below:
  • You must regularly clean your aligners to prevent bacteria build-up. A denture cleaner can be used
  • You must regularly brush and floss to maintain good oral hygiene
  • You must attend regular checkups with your dentist to keep your teeth healthy
  • You must continue to use your aligner at nighttime to maintain your results
  • You must remove your aligner when eating and drinking
